Investigating issues with Visual Studio Online - 10/1 - Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal as of 10/01/2015 13:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/01/2015 11:50 UTC. We identified the cause to be due to a stored procedure consuming a lot of CPU. Telemetry shows the issue has been fully restored.

We understand that customers rely on VS Online as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are actively investigating database performance issues on the South Central US region. A subset of customers may experience slower than usual response time while accessing their Visual studio accounts
