Application Insights - Advisory 11/20

In order to improve scale and query performance, the Application Insights service is making an update which will affect creating new Application Insights resources from both the Azure portal and Visual Studio as well as add applications in HockeyApp.  

In the Azure portal, the Application Insights resource will fail to be created.  In Visual Studio, the nuget package will be downloaded and add to your package, but the backing Application Insights resource will not be created in the Azure portal.  This will result in your application not having an instrumentation key.  To fix this condition, create the Application Insights resource in the Azure portal and add the instrumentation key or remove and re-add Application Insights in Visual Studio.

We expect the maintenance process to take an hour and planned to start on 11/22/2015 at 18:00 UTC. Existing Application Insights resources will not be affected. We apologize for the inconvenience.
