Today we’re introducing Group B - Matt, Tony, Peyton, Nse, and Shane – as they showcase their projects, what’s included in their project toolkits, and their project pages on Hackster.io. Let’s see what they’ve been working on!

Also, if you’re interested in becoming an MSP yourself visit our website.

Project Summary: Using the accelerometer on the Sphero, a mock GPS will be created. Using Azure, a user can tell the Sphero to go to a certain location from anywhere in the world.

Technology Toolkit:

Azure
Windows Phone

Project Summary:
A project aimed to drive the Sphero robot using a Xbox One [XB1] gamepad, with various functions mapped to buttons.

Technology Toolkit:
Node.js

Xbox One controller
Sphero Robot
Bluetooth enabled laptop

Project Summary: Using a Sphero 2.0, I want to allow a user to create a floor plan of a specified space. Using a mixture of the Odometer, Gyroscope and the IMU Angles the app will allow the user to drive their Sphero around while recording the distances and translating them into a 2D map of the space they have driven.

Technology Toolkit:
Sphero

Visual Studio 2013
Node.js Tools for Visual Studio

Project Summary: Sphero Trainer adds a new dimension to a host of recreational activities. It uses the balls sensors to provide feedback about the ball’s motion through space. It will enable people to practice a sequence of motions and provide statistical and visual feedback on the person’s performance. This can be used to help novice athletes develop their skills in activities ranging from Track and Field to Lacrosse. One great application for this is learning simple martial arts techniques. In particular, it will aid in developing accurate forms.

Technology Toolkit:
Sphero

Sphero SDK
Windows Phone Dev Kit
Visual Studio
The following may be used in later stages:
Azure
Myo (depends on collaborative effort)

Github:https://github.com/Nbot07/MSP_SpheroPilot-Sphero-Trainer

Project Summary: Control your Sphero 2.0 Robotic Ball with an Xbox 360 Gamepad and Windows.

Technology Toolkit:
